November 8-9, the Romanian Red Cross (Crucea Roșie Română) was the host 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 - an event that brought together fundraising experts and communication specialists from several NS.

Last week I participated in a peer to peer training American Red Cross @redcrossromania Bulgarian Red Cross Hungarian Red Cross IFRC and colleagues in Central & Eastern Europe saw the power of National Society development in action.

I walked away inspired about what we can do together.

Here are a few things we learned:

🪩How Romanian Red Cross (Crucea Roșie Română) used a flash mob to communicate the basics of first aid.

⛑️How Bulgarian Red Cross supported the response to the Türkiye & Syria earthquakes.

🎥How Hungarian Red Cross is using innovative techniques to gain more media attention.

The National Meeting of Red Cross’s volunteers started today in Bucharest! ❤️
For the next 5 days our volunteers will take part in interactive workshops on the following topics➡️organisational development, problem solving, mental health and local resource mobilisation.
