🚩Two ground shelters designed to protect people from shrapnel injuries were installed in the Vovchansk community in the border area of Kharkiv Oblast. Residents are constantly at risk due to frequent enemy shelling,shelter has an area of 10 m² and can accommodate 10 to 15 people

⚡️Another attack on Odesa by russian ballistic missiles has caused damage to civilian infrastructure facilities, including warehouses.We swiftly arrived at the scene of the incident. Alongside representatives of disaster medicine, they conducted inspections to search for victims.

Recently, Vladyslav Vladov,a volunteer of the URCS emergency response team (Odesa region), participated in the Protection Forum in Oslo, addresses the needs of people and communities affected by explosive ordnance,organised by the #INEW in cooperation with the Norwegian Red Cross

Amid the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine, Ukrainian Red Cross, Rode Kruis & IFRC have developed an innovative digital cash information management system, enabling the Ukrainian Red Cross to independently deliver cash assistance to those who need it most ➡️ to.510.global/3JH2u2E

📦In Kherson, despite constant shelling, volunteers from the Kherson regional organisation of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society distributed more than 20,000 food parcels to residents, people aged 60 and over and individuals with disabilities through the #WorldFoodProgramme

Flooding has been reported in the Cherkasy region,the streets have been under water for more than 2 days.The emergency response team with the Cherkasy regional branch of the URCS and the State Emergency Service,responded to the emergency to help people affected by the disaster.

🚩The first international follow-up conference to the Political Declaration on Strengthening the Protection of Civilians from the Humanitarian Consequences Arising from the Use of Explosive Weapons in Populated Areas with participation of the URCS was held in Oslo on April 22-23

🤝The URCS and the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine are collaborating to increase the availability and scope of social services throughout the country. Representatives of the URCS have signed a Memorandum with the Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine, Oksana Zholnovych.

International Chornobyl Disaster Remembrance Day
26 April 1986 - date forever marked by sorrow. In 1990, the URCS initiated the International Chornobyl Humanitarian Assistance and Rehabilitation Programme, the longest running of all Red Cross humanitarian programmes in the world

⚡️On 25 April,the town of Smila in Cherkasy region was hit by a rocket attack.The blast wave and debris damaged 47 private houses.We are providing assistance to the victims and distributing humanitarian aid,blankets,materials to temporarily cover the damaged buildings and windows

🤝The Deputy Director General of the Ukrainian Red Cross, Illya Kletskovskyy, conducted a working visit to Denmark. He held meetings with the Secretary General of the Danish Red Cross, Anders Ladekarl, and representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark.

🤝Representatives of the URCS visited Sweden on a diplomatic mission.On April 18, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed,extending until 2030.This agreement sets a precedent for long-term support and reflects the deepened level of cooperation between us and Swedish Red Crosses

⚡ Another nighttime russian attack has occurred in #Odesa , damaging several private houses in the city and resulting in casualties.We are working at the scene alongside other emergency services, offering essential assistance to the victims. An aid station has been established.

📦Volunteers of the Ukrainian Red Cross have delivered food parcels from the World Food Programme to Kherson residents. The food parcels contain long-term storage products and consist of canned food, pasta, cereals, oil and sugar.

In Kherson Oblast, Ukraine, thousands of people suffer from the horrors of the ongoing war.

With EU funds, Ukrainian Red Cross provide psychosocial support, especially to the most vulnerable - the elderly.

⚡️Dnipro. Аnother rocket attack on the city claimed the lives of 3 people,including one child,and 15 people were injured of varying degrees of severity. A residential building and two infrastructure facilities were damaged. Our volunteers are working at the sites of the shelling.

A delegation of representatives of the URCS,headed by Director General Maksym Dotsenko, attended the event 'Through Ukrainian eyes',organised by the Swedish Red Cross in support of the Ukrainian people at the 'Forografiska' International Centre for Photographic Art in Stockholm.

Despite the challenges, dangers, epidemics, disasters, and emergencies, Ukrainian Red Cross volunteers have been working tirelessly for 106 years to assist those in greatest need. Congrats!
