🧵 This National Small Business Week, small business optimism is at its lowest level since 2012.

Simply put, America’s small biz owners can’t keep up with the Biden administration’s overregulation and inflationary policies.

🔬 Putting the entirety of the Biden administration under a microscope, total public debt has outpaced growth by $579 billion.

In just the last year, total public debt has increased $1.66 trillion more than the economy.

This admin is steering our country off the fiscal cliff.

Secretary Yellen just admitted she’s concerned about where U.S. deficits are headed.

Yet we’re on track to borrow 9.6% of GDP this year at our current burn rate, and President Biden’s reckless policies don’t even come close to closing the gap.

The math simply doesn’t add up.

Total public debt outpaced nominal economic growth by $258 billion in Q1.

Over the last year, total public debt outpaced growth by $1.66 TRILLION.

That makes four consecutive quarters where increases in debt outpaced growth.

We cannot continue down this fiscally reckless path.

Once again, President Biden overpromised & underperformed in setting expectations for economic growth.

1.6% Q1 GDP growth was well below forecasts. American families can't keep up with the rising costs of the admin's failed economic policies.

Today, we celebrate the significance of Pesach, or Passover, which commemorates Hebrew liberation from Egypt. Now more than ever, I want to emphasize that our Jewish brothers and sisters always have a seat at the table.

Chag Pesach Sameach!

🚨 Alarming stat — 39¢ out of every dollar paid in individual income taxes in the first half of this fiscal year ONLY covered net interest payments.

How much longer will we allow our fiscal health to go off the rails?

Today, I was fortunate enough to listen to a remarkable performance by the talented choir at my alma mater Saguaro High School on the U.S. Capitol steps!

I am proud to see the arts flourishing in Arizona and couldn't be more proud to represent such a gifted group.

The IMF has warned the U.S. that its massive fiscal deficits have stoked inflation and pose “significant risks” for the global economy.

Our debt really does matter, and the consequences of failing to rein in spending will reverberate throughout the world.

Want to understand why the public isn’t so bubbly about the economy?

If you live in the Phoenix-Scottsdale area and haven’t received a 23.6% pay increase since President Biden took office, you are poorer today.

That's why so many of our folks back home are frustrated.

The results of @CATOInstitute’s 2024 Spending Madness are in, and it shouldn’t come as a surprise that the Inflation Reduction Act was resoundingly crowned this year’s worst federal spending program.
