Spoke on the House floor this morning in support of the emergency supplemental legislative package that is of paramount importance to the strength of our nation, to the American worker, and for our role as a world leader that is working to defend democracy.

I met with Chancellor Rodriguez at the Ivy Tech Lake County campus in Crown Point to discuss the ‘To the Finish Line’ initiative. I was proud to deliver federal funding for this project in FY22 & I look forward to continuing to partner to ensure students have opportunities to succeed.

Our adversaries are watching the inaction of Congress on emergency supplemental funding related to Israel and Ukraine, which is necessary to protect our freedoms and democracy. I continue to urge the House majority leadership to consider the Senate-passed measure without delay.

As a Northwest Indiana resident who grew up swimming in Lake Michigan & hiking at the Indiana Dunes National Park, I am always proud to celebrate Great Lakes Day! I'm grateful for organizations like GreatLakesCommission & Great Lakes and St. Lawrence Cities Initiative who protect our natural resources & our shoreline.

It is a priority for me to hear from Northwest Indiana veterans. It was an honor to meet with Disabled American Veterans (DAV) to listen to the needs of our veterans, hear actions we can take to honor their service, and ensure they receive the world-class healthcare and benefits they were promised.
