2005 Ridge Vineyards Monte Bello showed great, very nice structure and balance, combo of cool, dark backbone and juicy fruit, sufficient acidity, this is an adolescent now, will drink beautifully for at least 20 more years. Still one of my all time favorite new-world wineries.

Life is too short. Moved on to my favourite - Lytton Springs. 2012. Still fresh. The Zin softened by the Petite Sirah.
