Note the tightly packed rows of small teeth in this Corythosaurus skull. The teeth formed a large chewing surface known as a dental battery. As this herbivorous hadrosaur chewed vegetation, its teeth would have worn down, to be replaced by new teeth emerging.

This hadrosaur toe bone preserves 13 distinct tooth marks arranged in a pattern, suggesting it was repeatedly bitten. The bite marks were likely caused by a predator (probably a dromaeosaur or young tyrannosaur) feeding on the carcass.
