First friendly run out for the 1st XI - Royton Town FC - 4-3 Win (Turner, Tynan, Peckover, Brierley) Tough and highly competitive game against a well drilled and good side. Plenty pleasing aspects but much to build on.

Great news and step forward for the club, successfully adding two further teams into this brilliantly organised league following our first season with the 1st XI during 2019-20.

The League is well aware that there is a need for clarity around the 2019/20 season and we will work with all parties to assess options moving forwards.

There will be no further comment at this time.

In light of the escalating #COVID19 outbreak, current government and The FA advice, all League matches have been suspended until further notice.

Within the last hour, many NLS and grassroots leagues have suspended their fixtures.

Results Thursday 12th March 2020:

YAL XI (Yorkshire Amateur Association Football League - Terry Marfitt Cup Semi Final) Horsforth - 2-1 Loss (Tynan). Late goal denies us after fighting back in second half against a good side.

Wasn’t to be for the lads after a valiant effort. All the best to Horsforth in the final.

The stage is set for our first #MarflittTrophy semi-final on a cold Thursday evening.

Both Ryburn United AFC (Seniors) and HSM ⚽️ are in the Supreme Division's Top 6.

When they met in the League in September, Horsforth won 2-0 thanks to goals from Luke Norman and Joe Dixon.
