Hundreds of high school students from the Košice region, including my hometown #Michalovce , are welcomed today at the #EuropeDay 🇪🇺 in #Košice . They are younger than the membership of #Slovakia in the #EU . Happy to see their interest for the European affairs 👍

Our visit continued at the Technical University in #Košice , the real hub for research&innovations. It has more than 40% of foreign students and cooperates with technical schools around the world. The graduates have a great career opportunity in upcoming #Volvo plant in #Valaliky .

When it comes to #women ’s representation in decision-making, in #Slovakia we’ve seen encouraging developments over the last decade🙋‍♀️

We need to create stereotype-free environment for every child in which social & econ. mobility are possible & talent can unfold.

🇪🇺🇸🇰 Over € 25 billion in 20 years 👉 that’s what #Slovakia received in #CohesionPolicy support since joining the EU.

This helped increase Slovakia's GDP per head to converge towards 🇪🇺 average, from 59% to 69%.

All regions have benefitted from this support.
