Brownlow is one of the greatest historians of early cinema there is. If you’ve never seen any of his incredible series Hollywood, it is usually available on YouTube. He is a genius and doesn’t deserve this treatment.

This is not remotely okay from the Cinémathèque. Kevin Brownlow is the reason we have NAPOLÉON *at all* today. He literally worked *with Abel Gance* in creating the restoration.
