We're working with scientists from @rutgersu & BIOS | Arizona State University in @seasim_AIMS to develop hyperspectral imagery & multi-omics approaches as rapid, high-throughput phenotyping tools to identify #coral stress tolerance phenotypes for novel conservation & management strategies.
Nice summary here from CNN about the #coral seeding work we are going here Australian Institute of Marine Science in Woppaburra sea Country in partnership with @BHP. #ACRRI
Team includes: Carly Randall Christine Giuliano Line K Bay Taylor Whitman Rhys Cornish Samantha Goyen
Our #coral spawning expedition in Woppaburra sea Country was a success! I’ll be tracking seeded recruits and monitoring their interaction with grazing fish in marine reserves. Will the selection of engineered devices or sites boost survival?

Our study on coral heat tolerance is out now in Global Change Biology! We looked at how heat tolerance varies among coral reefs and species across a large seascape. Marine heatwaves played a big role in heat tolerance potential.
