A gas leak in the area 471 Mount Vernon Highway has led to a closure of the roadway.

What a beautiful start to the week! This morning, at around 9:30 a.m., the Mount Vernon Bridge over I285 opened up to vehicular traffic.

The speed limit in this area is 25mph, to ensure the safety of crews who are continuing to work to finish up pedestrian features on the

285 Eastbound 4 right lanes closed for traffic investigation. Far left lane is open. Take an alternate route.

Gas leak in front of the Mt Vernon School. Mt Vernon Hwy is closed between Vernon Woods Drive and the Sandy Springs Library. Fire Department is on scene. Please avoid the area. Updates will be provided as they become available.

Traffic Alert:
Crews will begin milling and resurfacing on Powers Ferry Road, from the Chattahoochee River to Northside Drive on Friday, April 19 - April 26, from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m., weather permitting.
Please use caution when traveling in this area.

🚧 Get ready for a significant transformation! Starting next week, the Mount Vernon Highway Corridor Improvements begin. This project will enhance safety from Sandy Springs Library to MARTA Station, separate from the Mount Vernon Highway/Johnson Ferry Road Improvement Project.

Traffic Alert:

On Saturday, April 13, from 8 a.m. - 6 p.m., only one southbound lane on Peachtree Dunwoody Road, south of the intersection with Johnson Ferry Road, for approximately 800 feet will be available for travel.

The Georgia Department of Transportation has announced the left lane of eastbound Abernathy Road will be closed from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. from Tuesday, April 9 - Friday, April 12. This closure will take place between Aria Boulevard and Barfield Road, weather permitting.
