When does electioneering become a threat to public health?

Depression and anxiety make an easy target for Stride because he is playing off existing prejudices that sufferers face.

It is damaging.

My piece for Guardian Opinion on and mental health. tinyurl.com/754s93ht

I am dependent.

I am dependent on people being kind.

I am dependent on a safety net to pick me up if I am ill.

I am dependent on adequate housing.

I am dependent on some validation.

We are all dependent: it is just more visible in some cases than others.

Borderline Personality Disorder has ALWAYS been used as a misogynistic insult in an attempt to police and govern people, especially women.

Please remember if you are a claimant:

This government is on the way out.

Nothing is to change with your benefits.

Disabilty is expensive. If you are on PIP, you deserve it.

Being on benefits is nothing to be ashamed of.

We all thrive in supporting one another.

Dear Mel Stride,

PIP has nothing to do with employment.

PIP is for moderate to severe disability and is v difficult to qualify for.

Noone gets PIP 'for' depression or anxiety. It is based on a functional analysis.

Stop playing smoke and mirrors with people's lives.

Oh great, Keir Starmer! 'The principle that those that can work should work is the right principle and that's why I have long supported reform. I'm very keen on the schemes that support people back into work'. No, Keir! It's not just wait list times, work is not a health outcome.

Dear The Labour Party,

Worklessness is not worthlessness.

Make it safe to NOT work, and more people will be able to work.

Not everyone, because disability is actually a thing - but more people.

Thanks, Jay

'We believe in the benefits of work for everyone - we are all better off with the autonomy and self-determination that comes from good work.'

You may believe in that, Labour, but the evidence-base says otherwise. Work is not a health outcome. tinyurl.com/uh4wwht

I do feel I / we are being low key gaslit at the disappearance of care coordination. People have been telling me for 30 years on and off I have to have a care coordinator and then it's like... puff. It's very weird.

A care coordinator can be one's ONLY CONTACT in the entire world, if family has been violent or one has been physically displaced, or if illness, madness or difference makes closeness otherwise utterly unbearable.

It has a long-term function for those most let down or illest.

Abandonment trauma is worsened in a service that carelessly or suddenly abandons us, even if a previous intervention has been helpful.

Emotional instability is not a marker of personality disorder but a marker of pain.

There are many reasons for this from complex trauma to PMDD or an environment where one can't fundamentally be oneself leading to masking.

Dr Jay Watts This is a leading consultation survey isn't it, structured in a way to force people to accept the unacceptable in one form or another.

Dr Jay Watts Exactly. Nobody's personality is disordered. I feel like this dx is just gasligthing and sets people up for more abuse when they are often already victims of abuse.

Keir Starmer has just published this Op-Ed where he simultaneously calls for end of DIVISIVE politics and overtly says that Labour 'is in the service of WORKING people'. Not everyone can work, Keir. You do not need to divide to conquer.

Here’s my experience of accessing s117 aftercare (or not accessing). A thread 🧡

I was on a section 3 eight years ago. I didn’t have a 117 meeting

Those eight years have been a struggle but a couple of years ago a v good care coordinator told me I was entitled
