Spent a week Aspen Words in a memoir writing workshop with the inimitable Ashley C. Ford. So grateful to learn from her & to be with a courageous, talented group of writers who responded to my work with grace & creativity. WHEN WILL WE BE FREE? will be stronger for it!

Such a powerful CASBS fellows seminar this week. Simukai Chigudu unveiled a piece of a memoir project that integrates his & his family's story w/the story of anti-colonial struggles in Africa
What does it mean & what does it take to truly decolonize one's heart, mind, and identity?
This book by Simukai Chigudu is simply amazing! It goes straight into next term's development studies syllabus!
CASBS fellows Simukai Chigudu and Martin J. Williams both put themselves on the hook to crank out book drafts this year.
Here we see them not working on that stuff at all. It's just not what 90-inch screens were made for....
