Quick reminder (from our UK in a Changing Europe polling guide!) about what we can and can’t tell from local election results…

Shortly about to end my local election shift, so here are a few closing bits of analysis from our Sky News data...

Firstly, both the Conservatives and Labour are down slightly on their vote last year, but the government is still far below their 2021 vote.

Number 1 issue for Con voters (c.25% max of voters)
Number…9? Among Labour voters (c.45% of electorate).
By pumping this issue up Cons have enabled Reform surge while swing voters just see a party talking to themselves, out of touch with their concerns.
