I absolutely adore this book!! There’s a reason it was up for both awards at Bloody Scotland last year. Spend a sunny weekend with Davey Boy, Big Paulo, and DI Ally McCoist, you won’t regret it 😎🚗🧼🧽
Booksellers are just the loveliest people!! 🤩🤩 I popped into Waterstones Dumfries ahead of my event there next Thursday and #DarkIsland was everywhere!! I’m just sorry to all the customers seeing my face grinning at them from every wall 🙈 (At least they get to see Dylan too 🤣🐶)
Despite Royal Mail’s best attempt I finally have my hands on my books! Now I just need to decide where to start? 📚 Thanks as always to Bert’s Books for the gorgeous packaging!

Had the most fabulous time chatting historical crime fiction with the loveliest group of people at Tregolls lodge book club Truro. Massive thank you to Howard and everyone who came - it was tremendously enjoyable.
Dylan and Maggie were very excited to see that book with their names inside in the window of our local indie bookshop! About time their hard work got some recognition 🥳📚🐶😁 #DarkIsland

If you’re in #Brighton right now, you can find #DarkIsland in Waterstones Brighton, and you can get The Orkney Brewery Dark Island beer at The Foghorn. Sounds like a perfect way to spend a Wednesday to me 😎📚🍻
My latest book reviews include Dark Island by Daniel Aubrey, set in Orkney and featuring a likeable, determined journalist; and The Midnight Man by @julieandersonwriter, an authentic mystery set in post-war London. #amreading rachelsargeant.co.uk/my-book-review…

Quite a read, I loved it!
Brilliant recognisable autistic representation, and an unpredictable plot, gripping to the end.
And my fussy reader husband... He wants to read the next one in the series.
Congratulations Daniel Aubrey on a brilliant debut.
