We have updated data at GeorgiaPathways.org, including this easily shareable graphic. While Georgia projected 100,000 enrollees by July of this year, they only had 4,392 by the end of March. With 290,000 people in the Coverage Gap, we know that this is ineffective.

HAPPENING NOW: Governor Kemp just signed SB 233 into law, a deeply unpopular school voucher that will divert public funding to private schools. For years, we’ve fought this effort to prioritize the wealthiest few over the 1.7 million young Georgians who depend on public schools.

Today, lawmakers can ensure that Georgians who receive a 2nd chance thru the First Offender Act, will have their records restricted & sealed so they can access & maintain education/housing/jobs that offer paths to economic mobility & avoid recidivism.

Justice-impacted Georgians need fair access to licensed jobs. Failure to improve their access thru , would maintain a workforce infrastructure that too often facilitates exploitative job experiences that they also may have faced during incarceration.

David w/ GBPI HB 1105 and 301 are bad for Georgia, stripping funding away from law enforcement, costing millions, and criminalizing immigrant communities and police officers. Call your state representative and ask them to vote NO. Find your rep here: pluralpolicy.com/find-your-legi…

Despite other harmful bills, GA has an opportunity ( ) to protect workforce attachment among those who miss a court date bc of economic strain. Georgians who miss 1 court date for a minor offense shouldn't face a gateway to incarceration or deep poverty.

Great summary of the argument that this voucher bill admits that the general assembly has failed in its ability to provide the constitutionally required standard of public education.

The state of Georgia executed a man tonight with intellectual disability. Willie Pye, and Alicia Lynn Yarbrough, should be alive today. I pray that one day our world is free from all forms of violence, including murder AND capital punishment.

God have mercy.
