Today Jacinta Allan announced a range of measures focussed on the prevention of family violence, and specifically acknowledged the influence of Tate on boys' behaviour in schools. But, as me and Prof Steven Roberts have argued, we need to do much more.

This is yet another reason why generations are not a useful way to think about organizing people into categories. Cohort effects (the year of your birth and people born around it) really do matter, but arbitrary generational lines don't, including for predicting music tastes.

Not that it matters, but young people are as generous as any age group in terms of formal volunteering. The idea they need “forcing to volunteer” (lol) is an idea for the ageist.

😭 I took the answer slow and steady and didn’t give too much information. But WHY are we even having to explain this to kids in 2024?

Great article by Catherine Ordway, PhD & @gingergorman calling for sport organisations & clubs to do more to address violence against women. They emphasise the importance of education & recommend codes implement the “no fault, stand down” rule similar to NRL.
