Looking forward to Bach + 26th-27th April 2024. Here is one of the pieces based on a chant from Malling Abbey dedicated to St.Eanswyne: a Kentish Princess. The piece incorporates birdsong and is a companion piece to Brandenburg VI.

All the feels listening to Gavin Higgins incredible Concerto Grosso on BBC Radio 3 now with The National Youth Orchestra & The National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain - I grew up in the Yorkshire brass band tradition too, sneaking in to rehearsals above a pub in Leeds as a skinny 13 yr old. His piece somehow captures that wonder & glory.
