I visited HMP & YOI Stirling with my colleague Alexander Stewart MSP, to discuss ongoing concerns such as women’s safety and neighbouring residencies.

Thank you to the Governor and Deputy Governor for the time, and all staff members who spoke to us about their roles.

Bottom line is it’s another debate that reveals how policy (and discourse) for laudable aims risks unintended consequences for rural residents who are still to build, acquire or revamp a home going forward.

Zero understanding of the needs of rural and isolated communities. I understand that these rules apply to new builds but how on earth are people supposed to heat their homes living in off grid locations? Biomass, despite ScotGov grants, is still hideously expensive.

Officers from Stirling Council attended with emergency services on Saturday and would ask people to stay away & respect the safety cordon around Langgarth House.
As this is now the subject of a live police investigation, it would be inappropriate to comment further at this stage.

Very sad to see that Langgarth House at Old Viewforth is currently on fire. Police Scotland Stirling and Scottish Fire and Rescue Service on site.

This is such an important message and we are relieved to hear that Councillor Heald and his family are safe.

We often only get one chance in a collision and if our child seat is unsuitable for our child / car, the outcome can be devastating.
