Under the Biden-Harris Administration, Black small business ownership has grown at the fastest rate in more than 30 years.

I met with entrepreneurs and small business owners in Atlanta during Small Business Week to discuss this historic progress.

Today, the typical per capita wealth of white Americans is $284,310, compared to $44,100 for Black Americans.

The Black Wealth and Prosperity Agenda is focused on closing this gap by removing barriers and fostering generational wealth within Black communities.

Today, I lost a friend and colleague. Rep. Donald Payne Jr. was a steward of service, justice, & hope - always striving to improve the quality of life for his constituents. He will be greatly missed.

Today, we grieve the loss of Congressman Donald M. Payne, Jr. He was a champion of Black families and the safety of Black children – with contributions like the Homeland Security for Children Act.  His passing leaves a void in our hearts and in the halls of Congress.

I'm heartbroken to hear of the passing of my dear friend, Donald Payne, Jr.

I loved him like a brother, and I will forever cherish the 10 years I had the honor of working alongside him.

Bill and I are praying for him, Beatrice, their children and their family.
