Sadly, as every NHS frontline professional knows too well, a ‘bed’ is meaningless without the nurses & doctors to care for the patient. You’ve done nothing to expand or fund more staff. In fact, your actions drive us away. The NHS is short of 130k staff - & this pledge is empty.

I don't know your circumstances, but if you take a wander around a small bookshop, say how wonderful it is and bemoan the fact that there aren't very many, then... leave without buying anything? I never tire of hearing the shop praised (thank you🙏🏼) but it doesn't pay the bills.
