Today I called on the Prime Minister to end sales to Israel.

When you watch the Prime Minister’s answer below, remember this: since 2015 the UK has licensed over £489m worth of arms to Israel.

Today is Romani Resistance Day.

On this day, 16th May 1944, Roma and Sinti people in Auschwitz-Birkenau resisted Nazi soldiers, delaying executions in the ‘Gypsy Camp’ for several months.

We honour the bravery and strength of all the Roma and Sinti people.

Last week, I visited the The National Holocaust Centre and Museum with Alex Norris MP and Lilian Greenwood.

It was so powerful to learn about the stories of Holocaust survivors and the anti-racist education the centre provides.

With antisemitic hate crime on the rise, this work is especially vital.
