Great article from @ealingnub. Note that the release date for the album “Blues Inc at The Marquee” was 1962… not 61. This fact has recently been updated at US Rock Hall of Fame. rockhall.com/inductees/alex… Guardian music Record Collector Mag
Fantastic piece of Ealing Studios photography. Wonderful to hear PJ Harvey heading to Gunnersbury Park & Museum in August 2024. Here singing with björk Satisfaction by the Stones in front of Marshall Amps : m.youtube.com/watch?v=Dg39hJ….
Hope all clocked The Rolling Stones playing New Orleans Jazz Fest?. Massive moment! Here’s Keith Richards playing the riff on “Whole Wide World”. A song about London from the album “Hackney Diamonds” Mick certainly sounds like a Londoner on this track..
🎺🎸At midnight after the show I popped to Preservation Hall to see the Soul Queen of New Orleans, Irma Thomas, then jumped up to play 'Time Is On My Side' with her and her amazing band!
#StonesJazzFest
Thank you NOLA New Orleans JazzFest - so great to finally be a part of it!
And a huge thanks to the amazing Dwayne Dopsie - King of the Accordion - who joined the Stones on Let It Bleed..And the incredible Soul Queen of New Orleans, Irma Thomas who took to the stage for Time Is On My

Muddy Waters was one of the most important figures in the development of the distinctive urbanized sound that came to be known as the Chicago Blues and is considered by many to be the “Father of Chicago Blues.” #blueshistory storymaps.arcgis.com/stories/a5eed2…
The The Rolling Stones kicked off their first tour in nearly two years with a thrilling show in Houston, featuring three songs from their shockingly great album ‘Hackney Diamonds’ and tons of classics performed in ageless style.
