I’ve had the honor of working with a lot of people whose startups got into YC and if you started on your application now you’d be like twelve hours earlier than several of them.

Do I disagree with many related claims and notice the hype sure, but the core value is a slam dunk, if you are plausibly doing a start-up that could attend YC no matter how thin it is right now then obviously you should apply to YC.
