A cast of five essay a score of characters in Sherlock Holmes: The Valley of Fear at Theatre Royal Bath, a confident adaptation of the last Holmes novel, romping from Baker Street to Pennsylvania, with the action (gunfights mixed in with the sleuthing) stretching over decades.

How lovely that also performing this week at Theatre Royal Bath is a Pinter double-bill starring the fabulous Claudie Blakley. Fun fact: Claudie’s mother Lin Blakey starred in our very first production, Effie’s Burning, exactly 20 years ago!
