Training theory assumes physical challenge directly drives proportionate fitness responses.

This is not true.

In this free session I'll explain why & outline how we can deliver better, more effective programs.

Forced to choose, we suggest that keto adaptation impairs endurance performance. However, as ever we note - there is more to learn, and collaboration beats conflict in expanding knowledge and practice.

No you don’t need to be the “heroic” version of yourself in order to make an impact.

You need to be the version of yourself that’s a situational fit for the context and needs of those you lead.

It doesn't matter how smart or technically gifted a person is, if effective communication skills and emotional intelligence is lacking, establishing trust will be difficult, and trust between all members of the team is the foundation for HP operation.

Something a little different.

Caught up with Belgian aero king Victor Campenaerts for an interview about life in the pro peloton for the good folk at Precision Fuel & Hydration.

Impressive character, puts the ego to one side and refuses to rest on his laurels.

Important study led by Gorka Prieto-Bellver of which I am honored to be part of.
If you are still doing CHO periodization or restricting CHO, you should read this study.
No improvements in performance or substrate utilization.

At the highest level of sport we have known this for

This is a significant breakthrough in the carb periodization approach!
While many of us knew or at least had a suspicion about it, no one has ever published data before it in top athletes before.
Thanks very much for the paper Javier Sola

Chris Kilmurray I believe it’s because physiologists use the tools available in their toolbox to measure stuff that they can with their tools. VO2max is nice to know but what is often forgotten is the inverse relationship with efficiency.
