For 10+ years, UCDSB has relied on private sector operators to provide before/after care and regular childcare. Staff, in cooperation with municipalities, work annually to determine if demand and other conditions are sufficient to offer programs where they do not already exist.

For the initial reporting term in 2024-25, a limited pilot rollout will include a small subset of elementary and secondary schools. Based on feedback acquired and assessment of key performance indicators, rollout will be expanded until 100% of schools have the service available.

This solution will solve long-standing challenges related to paper-based document delivery, such as lost/damaged documents, delivery of documents to multiple households, and long-term storage of documents. #UCDSBboardmeeting

Beginning in 24-25, report cards will be delivered and stored electronically through My Family Room and available via the mobile app and web.

Next, Manager of Information Technology Services Jim Guerin, and Executive Superintendent of Business Services Jeremy Hobbs will give an update on the Parent Document Repository initiative, which in its first stage will be focused on electronic delivery of student report cards.

The BAPIE is designed to improve opportunities for Indigenous students, and to increase knowledge and awareness of all students about Indigenous histories, cultures, and perspectives.
