Today is the last day of #NPHW , the future of public health. 1 in 4 Black adults in CA experienced unfair treatment getting medical care in their lifetime. Recognizing racism as a public health crisis is the first step in dismantling health disparities rooted in racial injustice.

Day 6 of #NPHW is emergency preparedness, which includes supporting underserved communities where disasters worsen inequities: 60.1% of Californians in rural areas and 53% of American Indians and Alaska Natives experienced an extreme-weather related event in the past 2 years.
