Thread on findings from the 3rd annual survey of Ukrainians in Ireland, conducted by Ukrainian Action in Ireland with support from Children, Equality, Disability, Integration, Youth.

Huge strides made by that community in terms of integration and employment - progress which must be built upon and supported.

The Ukrainian Action in Ireland survey results today show incredible progress of that community in a short space of time. We are at a crossroads - either invest heavily now in further supporting their integration, or stay in a holding pattern. Same applies to international protection.

Extremely high education level is the norm, coupled with a lot of work experience but major barriers to accessing employment (language, qualification recognition)

Increase in the amount of those who wish to remain here (not surprising, given the amount of time people have been here)

Very little 'secondary movement' among those polled from other EU countries to Ireland (despite this being articulated as a major reason to restrict support going forward by Irish government 👀)
