Last week we visited Newcomb Institute at Tulane University to talk #FireDreams , Women With A Vision’s over 35-year history, and #FireDreams . Thanks for the opportunity to talk about why preserving our movement’s history is so integral in our fight for liberation.

Black folks and LGBTQ+ people have always been the primary targets of the war on drug users. When we destigmatize and decriminalize things like drug use, sex work, and HIV status, we get one step closer to the world we deserve.

Over 35 years ago our foremothers took it to the streets — connecting our communities with the resources they needed to stay healthy.

We’re going back to our roots talking safer sex practices, safer substance use, overdose reversal, contraception at Duncan Plaza.
