We are devastated by the sudden and untimely loss of one of our long-standing members, Mark Smart, who died in his sleep on Saturday 3 February. We will miss him terribly. Our thoughts are with those closest to him.

Most of our #Curlew from our Eastern shore study site on #theWash breed in Sweden and Finland, and occasionally have brief stop offs over the 1000 mile journey to their breeding grounds. We have a few records of birds spending winter elsewhere in the UK.
