We recently hosted two wildflower training sessions thanks to support from The Wild Flower Society! 🌼

The workshops offered local groups and volunteers the opportunity to learn more about Somerset's wildflowers, and we are very grateful to all who took part! 💚

Had a great day today at St Cyrus NNR with members of the The Wild Flower Society. Top finds included a large population of sand cat's-tail and the almost exclusively Scottish Scot's lovage. After a long discussion about this Carduus thistle we concluded it was broad-winged not welted.

Thanks to funding from The Wild Flower Society, DWT's Avon Valley Project were able to organise a meadow ID workshop with Avon Valley Meadow Makers. Led by local botanist Fiona van Es, landowners learned how to identify field plants so they can monitor their meadows!
