This line of inbound storms is kinda like watching #cicadas emerge

Much of NE Missouri is not close to either the Davenport radar nor the St Louis radar and the Central IL radar

Souter he portion going east northeast

Center portion would be what the #Chicago metro needs to watch

Also high winds in clear air ahead of this line kicking up dust storms from farm fields downstate

A line of storms is indeed forming out west and a single cell north of DeKalb might be producing some nickel size hail

These sweep mostly the northern #Chicago metro thru early Monday rush hour

Biggest hazard is marginally severe hail, wind gusts, low chance but poss tornado

Severe weather risk for Tuesday has been upgraded to moderate (4 of 5) for much of Iowa. That is our source region for what could be a line of hi wind producing storms rolling into #Chicago near/after sunset

A warm front has pushed north into southern Wisconsin and could be the focus for a quick tornado as this afternoon’s upper energy arrives soon
