Loved the Chicago Symphony Orchestra concert yesterday! I especially liked the Flute Concerto, Mahler Symphony No. 4, and the beautiful singing by Ying Fang. I'm amazed by how long the flutist could constantly perform those notes consecutively without getting tired!

Amazing performance last night of Händel’s Agrippina with superb vocals from Stéphanie d'Oustrac as Agrippina, Ying Fang as Poppea, Tim Mead as Ottone, Gianluca Buratto as Claudio and last but not least John Holiday as Nerone. Great playing by Accademia Bizantina/Ottavio Dantone.

CSO Principal Flute Stefán Ragnar Höskuldsson soloed in the world premiere of Lowell Liebermann’s Flute Concerto No. 2 with the CSO on Thursday. In the second half of the program, Susanna Mälkki led Mahler’s Symphony No. 4, which featured Ying Fang.
