National Pork Producers Council v. Ross oral argument: 1/5 for food. Yay for mention of pork (well, the subject of this case) and also horse meat. Otherwise, little mention of food. But! Wow, super fascinating oral argument about the nature of commerce.

I wish Jordan Peele would make a horror movie called Uncle Tom.

Final Nelson Institute Environment and Resources graduate program meeting of the year: 4/5 for food. It was over Zoom and I ate Coop green bean casserole. I am a sucker for green bean casserole.

Sour Grapes: 4.5/5 for food. Great wine scenes, but no significant food scenes, but wow, fun movie about food fraud.

The Vigil: 0/5 for food. But I still enjoyed the melancholy atmosphere. Especially the porousness between English and Yiddish dialogue.

Last faculty meeting of the year: 5/5 for food. Probably because I was Zooming in and got to eat my current favorite soup of bitter melon, carrot, daikon, tepary beans, long beans, and miso.

I finally read the leaked opinion for Dodd. 0/5 for food. No mention of food whatsoever. (Even though nutritional deficiencies can lead to heightened risk of miscarriages--aka spontaneous abortions.)

Jacknife: 4.5/5 for food. Fantastic sushi (I had a yuzu crab salad roll, and a salmon skin roll with bonito flakes, cucumber, green onion, and unagi sauce. Fast service, very fresh rolls, only downgraded slightly because I wonder whether I'd get tired of the limited choices.
