Ordinary Bloke On A Bike Being a great a Lancastrian it hurts to say this, but on the Morecambe - Bridlington C2C, the bit through the Yorkshire Wolds was quite special.

Grandstand view of the Royal Air Force C130 Hercules Farewell Flypast as they flew over Beverley Racecourse. 47 Squadron that operates the Hercules formed there as part of the Royal Flying Corps on 1 March 1916. Middle of the racecourse “The Hurn” was used as an airfield in WW1.
This tweet from Cycling the Yorkshire Wolds inspired me to give all the hills out of Thixendale a go. I added a couple extra to capture all the ways you could get out of Thixendale. Either way a great ride with stunning views that you can enjoy as you’re going uphill so often
