The United Nations declares 2026 as the year of the woman farmer. According to Dept. of Agriculture about 1/3 of farmers are women, and our 2022 National Young Farmer Survey found that 2/3 of #youngfarmers are women/non-binary/or a gender other than cisgender male. WFAN

This system isn’t working for #youngfarmers , with #landaccess being the #1 challenge they're facing. An investment in land access in this #farmbill will generate immense returns for taxpayers—increasing food access, strengthening local supply chains, and growing rural economies.
Young Farmers found that farmers under 40 are motivated by environmental conservation and social justice. They are also much more likely to grow specialty crops.
We support farmers of all ages in growing food sustainably and equitably.
