'In our multivariable models, remnants were independently associated with cardiovascular risk, diabetes, hypertension, obesity, and metabolic syndrome. The blood remnant concentration was a stronger predictor than LDL for all outcomes.'

'High D-sdLDL-C [directly measured small dense LDL cholesterol] levels were associated with CAD events during 12-year follow-up, independent of non-HDL-C and apoB. The association of D-sdLDL-C and CAD events was superior to those of E-sdLDL-C, non-HDL-C, or apoB and CAD events.'

👁️ 39 098 individuals follow‐up time of 11.8 years, with 4466 ASCVD events.

🤔 HIGH LDL‐C and LOW VLDL‐C experienced THE LOWEST CRUDE ASCVD rate (7.7 per 1000 person‐years)

🤔 LOW LDL‐C and HIGH VLDL‐C experienced the highest crude ASCVD rate (16.9 per 1000 person‐years).

'In our cohort, the risk for T2D was not associated with intake of meat in the adjusted analyses . . . a recent meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials did not support a mechanistic link between red meat intake and T2D risk factors.'

'Results from the replacement models should be interpreted with caution, as these were obtained from statistical models using dietary intakes in the study population and were not actual replacements. Therefore, causal relations cannot be inferred.'

A new piece on saturated fat!
By Mary Newport MD who has been writing on this topic, esp. coconut oil, ketones, and Alzheimers since 2011.
This is an original piece with a lot of great scholarship. I do apologize for suggesting otherwise. I should have read it more closely!🙏🙏

At this point I must agree. I tried to find evidence of the alleged plagiarism and could not find it.

'Our findings may indicate that contrary to people's expectations, low LDL level may not confer benefits and could potentially be detrimental.'
