Moist summer conditions have supported strong volunteer canola growth, which may encourage high green peach aphid numbers this season. Eliminate green bridge volunteers at least 2 weeks before sowing winter crops to minimise the risk of virus & aphids.

GPA+TuYV are most damaging to canola early in the season when virus-carrying GPA migrate from volunteer canola or brassica weeds. Going to spray green bridge out? Try and do it >2 weeks before sowing canola. Monitor crops early! DPIRD Broadacre - WA Grains & Livestock GRDC West

When did you plant sorghum this summer? Late planting can be more susceptible to Rutherglen bugs, which are increasing in numbers in Liverpool and Moree Plains. If your sorghum is in the soft dough stage, check for RGBs!

In a hurry few days before rain.

Spilt a little bit of clethodim on my jeans. Didn't realise it, nor that it dripped down into my right sock... stayed on for 5 hours.

Gott in himmel - that right foot and leg are hurting now, and ugly swelling.

Due to the increased population of Rutherglen bug 🪳 in canola stubble in the northern region, closely monitor their numbers in summer crop, if you were able to plant this season.

🪲Russian wheat aphid is confirmed north of Narrabri in low numbers. Please note: spraying low population will kill beneficials. 🧐Monitor your cereals for presence of rolled leaves with yellow strips.

Russian wheat aphid🪲 is back in northern NSW after 4 years. Monitor paddocks🧐 for signs of RWA, such as leaf rolling along the margins, with white-yellowish-purplish strips. For management info grdc.com.au/resources-and-…
