Florida’s abortion ban means women and girls across our state — and across the entire Southeast — have lost a critical outpost for medical care. Now, the nearest abortion providers are 1,000 miles and thousands of dollars away in Illinois or Maryland.

Imagine reading this then thinking you’re the good guy. People make the dangerous journey because they are desperate, and because they have a right under international law to claim asylum in the UK.
