There is a bigger issue here about what we value in society and what we are prepared to invest in. The arts are essential to health and wellbeing. What got us all through those long months of lockdown? Books, films, box sets, listening to music, playing music, drawing, creating!

A few thoughts on the stooshie over the £6.6m. The Scottish Government chooses to spend less than 0.1% of its annual budget on the public body that supports the arts, screen & creative industries across all parts of Scotland on behalf of everyone who lives, works or visits here.
