Today, two members of Japan Air Self-Defense Force were awarded the Air and Space Commendation Medals in recognition of their contribution towards the rescue effort of two injured US service members during the exercise Cope North 23 in February. Congratulations, and thank you Tomodachi!!

On Sep 19 2023, #USAF 🇺🇸, #JASDF 🇯🇵 and #RAAF 🇦🇺, conducted the 6th Trilateral ISR Conference at Kadena AB. In order to ensure a free and open Indo-Pacific, the U.S. will continue to deepen relations with JPN and AUS to strengthen interoperability through coordinated ISR events.

JMSDF Hosts Fifth ISR Air Symposium

Lt. Gen. Ricky Rupp, Commander, USFJ, met with Secretary of the Air Force Frank Kendall Office of the Secretary of the Air Force at HQ USFJ this morning.

General Izutsu visited United States from April 19 to 25, and had meetings with U.S senior defense officials. The meetings were very significant in strengthening the relationship of trust between the two countries, and promoted bilateral air-to-air and space-to-space cooperation.

The arrangement was signed at Air Staff Office and USSPACECOM on March 29. Koku-Jieitai (JASDF) strengthens cooperation between Japan and the Unites States for the stable use of space, and further deepens relations with partner nations that also dispatch their liaison officers.
