One rep maxes are not the only strength measurement

Examples of improved strength:

- Athlete did 135x5 - can now do 135x8
- Zero Chin Ups to 3 legit Chin Ups
- Same weight with much better control
- Moving the same weight with greater speed

Isometrics.

Guidelines👇

If you can’t hold more than :30, the weight is too heavy.

If you can hold for more than :45 the weight is too light.

Looking for a hard :30-:45 isometric hold each leg.

Progressing “accessories” made simple. 1 of many ways for HS/College athletes.

Week 1-3x6 (18 reps)

Week 2-3x8 (24 reps)

Week 3-4x6 (24 reps- goal is heavier in the sets)

Week 4- 3x8 (18 reps-goal is same as last week and more than wk 1)

Like/RT if this helped!

Unilateral training is crucial for athletes

Sporting action happens mostly on one leg doesn't it?

I have a free guide on how I program unilateral work with an example training week

Retweet this and comment SEND below and I'll DM it to you

Must both RT and reply SEND to get it

Weighted Jump Programming Tip

Trap Bar and Barbell Squat Jumps

Start with 20% of the max for that lift (Trap Bar Dead / Back Squat)

Add 5-10lb or 5% each week

All together from start to finish was 16 seconds. Started 185 and switched to 225. They were so amped to do this 😂

I present to you the trap bar pit crew challenge 😂. Girls wanted to see how fast they could do it at the end of the session after changing the weight so much in session. Think your group can do it faster? Joe Aratari

When it comes to reps, we tell our athletes to think about each rep as being its own. Instead of doing 6 reps think 1,1,1,1,1,1. Have FOCUS and INTENT on each rep.
