The biggest crooks have the loudest mouth on sexual orientation “values” because they have lost every other value for their society.

Serious leaders are building space for diverse yet functional societies, the ones in dysfunctional countries want to peep through bedroom windows.

I laughed when Onye Nkuzi questioned lack of EIA for their new coastal highway. Nigeria isn’t a real country.

And the examples above are just a few laws. Think of all our laws, then duplicate these mentality across the states and the local governments. And you have a reckless political system that is maintained to serve itself only and can never ever work for the people.

When we say Nigeria needs to be restructured, reformed, decentralised... State police and resource control are just the tip of the iceberg. We need to radically reduce the powers of executive govt and bring the remnant powers under legislative and judicial supervision.

All of these discretionary powers are UNCONTROLLED. They are not subject to judicial or legislative review nor do they have measurable conditions for their exercise. That is the key point. You can see how this links up with corruption, nepotism, and patronage...

Our development as a country is not measured by how many luxury homes we have for a few rich, but by: how many good homes in the market are affordable by ordinary Nigerians (capitalism); and how many Nigerians actually have homes to live (welfare capitalism, social democracy).

Nigerians confuse elitism with capitalism. Some people will say Eko Atlantic is capitalism. Nonsense.

A govt should never use public goods to create markets catering for a few. Govt policies must always be for the welfare of the majority except minority human rights issues.

In another country, this kind of elitist housing policy would have been enough to sack the entire government. But this is Nigeria. And this is Lagos.

The dysfunctional priorities of a govt that can’t generate 24hr electricity for every resident.

I think the female body is just sexualised a lot more than males in any setting. Some men also wear some questionable singlets or shorts to the gym and no one bats an eye.
Bottom line is just mind your business, do your session and leave!

What do the faithful women get?

Once again, US politicians taking the risk of delegitimising international law just to prove one point.

I’m sure the people who responded with “they should follow the official process” can see exactly where that gets anyone with the demolition at Landmark Beach and its adjoining businesses.

Building in Nigeria is taking a gamble that your actions are legal and you won't wake up one day to find that your hard work is up for demolition by govt.

This is no way to run a country.

People need to have certainty of the official processes for productivity to thrive.

It was difficult to watch this go down today yet, I found strength in the faith that we will rebuild. Nigeria really did this one :)
