Yesterday, I spoke at the 68th annual session of the UN Women Commission on the Status of Women in #NYC , focusing on gender equality and women's rights. I highlighted the plight of political prisoners like Maria Kalesnikava & over 170 women incarcerated in #Belarus .

Volha Harbunova yesterday noted she is not the first Belarusian given the #IWOC award. Maria Kalesnikava could not receive the 2021 award in person because she was in prison. She still is, held incommunicado for over a year. Release Maria Kalesnikava!

Last week I participated in events in #Berlin dedicated to political prisoners , including my sister Maria Kalesnikava

As part of the events, I spoke to parliamentarians of the #Bundestag , where I spoke about the situation of #Belarusian #politicalprisoners .

The complaint about the disappearance of Maria Kalesnikava is being considered by the UN Working group on Enforced or involuntary disappearances at a session in #Geneva from January 29 to February 2.

Maria Kalesnikava has been incommunicado for 350 days now. The last letter from her to Tatsiana Khomich was received on February 15, 2023. Since then, there has been no communication with her.

It has been 40 months since my friend Maria Kalesnikava was abducted by the regime's thugs. I often think about what life must be like for her in prison. Nearly a year has gone by with no word from Masha. We must continue to fight for her & every political prisoner in #Belarus .
