Annual openwater swimming race in the Thames, which dates back to 1890s, cancelled due to pollution fears.
Organiser, Keith Dixon, told BBC Radio 4 Today this was partly due to 'the Steve Backshall report' - which we collected the data for at Bangor University.

That's rather sobering.

There's been a lot of discussion about 'cloud seeding' after the Dubai floods.

Cloud seeding involves manipulating clouds to produce more rain.

Science fiction?

Not at all - it's 200 years old & even been used in warfare.

It's use could be a blessing or a curse...

Great to see Bangor University getting a mention for the work we did analysing water samples sent to us by Steve Backshall - who is doing an amazing job highlighting the need for healthy rivers!
