Voter Registration spike on 22 May - looks like around 65% of the new registrations were from ppl under 34yrs old. **Voter Registration Deadline is 18 June!** #GE24 #generalelection H/T from Professor Toby James
๐ณ๏ธThe voter registration deadline for the UK #GeneralElection is 18 June.
There are approximately 8 million people missing or incorrectly registered - who might miss out. Thatโs less than a month away.
Make a start on getting the missing millions registered by telling everyone
#ge24 is going to be interesting in #Scotland - Conservative leader Ross going hard on DEVOLVED issues in the Westminster election on #bbcgms - Labour will do same. voters will increasingly be confused on reserved and devolved issues Gary Robertson BBC Radio Scotland
As the PM disrespectfully chose a #GeneralElection date in the Scottish school summer holidays:
๐๏ธ Will you be away on holiday on 4 July 2024?
๐ฎMake sure you apply for a postal vote!

Thanks to all the MSPs who have supported the John Smith Centre over the years! University of Glasgow alum Humza Yousaf was one of the first to host an intern in his constituency office and help demonstrate what public service looks like at the coalface. #johnsmithcentreat10
Great to see all the hard work we put into setting up the John Smith Centre 10 years ago - esp the internship programme - has paid off with so many fantastic JSC interns over the years. Looking forward to seeing how the new Director ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ ๐ชฉ takes it from strength to strength!
Things that occur to me when I otherwise should be marking exams: what is the probability that any two individual crisps in a bag of crisps came from the same potato? #academiclife #exammarking
Very happy to have been asked by Centre for Public Policy to contribute a few thoughts on where #Scotland โs new government and FM stand as we look at the lay of the political landscape (using Scottish Election Study ๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ณ๓ ฃ๓ ด๓ ฟ๐ณ๏ธ data!).
