Now that the dust has settled I want to thank Tinderbox Theatre Company for their incubate program! I had the loveliest time seeing so much new work and I feel rejuvenated as an artist! I am now going to rant about why nights like these are so important for the artistic community…

6 years ago I couldn’t even utter the words “I’m gay”… I couldn’t convince that as a reality for myself and well that would be what shame (big gay shame) does to you. I’ve still got a ways to go but I will always remember Thursday the 21st of March at 8 30pm (more or less).

This work is centred around research on women in prison and I felt so moved by the audiences response. 💛
