I found Xi's discussion of US-China partnership almost bizarre. Does anyone believe that a partnership is anywhere near possible given our completely different values and world view?

Although I agree with his assessment, I'm not sure of his use of the 'boiling frog' metaphor. In the case of the boiling frog, you don't notice until it's too late and the frog dies. Seems to me we are noticing and taking action. Aren't we?
