Remembering Insp Elaine Evans, of Merseyside Police, who died from injuries sustained on duty on this day in 1981. Our thoughts are with her family & friends on this sad anniversary. Lovely to have met them at our memorial service #neverforgotten .

Remembering our very own PC Dave Phillips who was tragically killed on duty 8 years ago today.

2/2 The run to Belfast became a real drag though. Horrible roads, wind swung to a headwind & it rained! I’ve only just eaten & started to feel a bit human, but only due at the hotel around 10-1030pm! 😩

Good news is though, YOU’VE smashed my £1,000 target! Thank you so much! 💙

1/2 Definitely a day of two halves - some lovely weather and roads with a special mention to young Calum, who I met randomly in Ireland and who rode with me for half an hour! We talked about bike racing and his plans for the future - cool kid! (He was just 15!)
